“Chicago,” the iconic Broadway musical, will debut at Her Majesty’s Theatre on March 26, 2024. Promising audiences an electrifying journey into the heart of 1920s Chicago. The production is set against the backdrop of the Jazz Age. This Tony Award-winning spectacle transports viewers into a world of glamour, corruption, and sensationalism. Featuring an unforgettable score by John Kander and Fred Ebb.   As well as timeless choreography by Bob Fosse, the show dazzles with its sizzling dance numbers and razor-sharp wit.

This show stars Anthony Warlow as Billy Flynn, Zoë Ventoura as Velma Kelly, Lucy Maunder as Roxie Hart.  Also starring  Peter Rowsthorn as Amos Hart and Asabi Goodman as Matron ‘Mama’ Morton.

“Chicago” captivates audiences as a renowned musical set in 1920s Chicago.  where it delves into themes of crime, celebrity, and corruption. The plot follows Roxie Hart, a housewife with dreams of stardom. And Velma Kelly, a vaudevillian performer, both imprisoned for murder. As they navigate the criminal justice system, media sensationalism, and manipulate their trials for public sympathy and fame, the story unfolds. With its jazzy score by John Kander and Fred Ebb, and iconic choreography by Bob Fosse, “Chicago” satirizes the culture of celebrity and the pursuit of the American Dream amidst a backdrop of crime and scandal.

Chicago Melbourne will be followed by a national tour that includes dates in Sydney, Adelaide, and Canberra.
