About the Show
MULTIPLE BAD THINGS is a theatrical performance. It isn’t real, yet in a world where self-righteous indignation often overshadows the most marginalised voices, this theatre sometimes feels very real.
In this production, set in a nondescript warehouse at the world’s edge, three employees face a seemingly futile task. Struggling to collaborate, they confront issues of inclusion and equity, testing their physical limits, cooperation, and capacity for empathy. As civility erodes, bad behaviour escalates, and reality becomes increasingly distorted.
Back to Back Theatre is renowned globally for challenging the boundaries of stage performance and personal perception. For over 30 years, their ensemble has crafted powerful and captivating theatre that intertwines the personal, political, and cosmic. Groundbreaking international productions include Ganesh Versus The Third Reich and Small Metal Objects. MULTIPLE BAD THINGS is their latest endeavour.
In creating this new work, Back to Back Theatre incorporates new voices into the creative process. Zoë Barry’s score is composed from field recordings of various “bad things.” Anna Cordingley’s design requires the actors’ physical involvement to fully realise the production.
