This is not a drill! The fate of the universe is in the hands of an astronaut on a cosmic clean up mission, a rhythmically gifted robotic parrot, and a power chord fuelled Pirate Crew who are wildly lost in space (and loving every light-year of it)!
Space Pirates is a brand new, high energy, intergalactic adventure for children aged 5–12 and their grown-ups. Space Pirates blasts through a galaxy of puppetry, pirate rock songs, and epic space silliness sure to delight the whole family. Anchored by themes of sustainability, acceptance, and embracing difference, this rollicking space-pirate caper promises a heartfelt journey that’s truly out of this world. Written and Directed by Kat Glass with Songs by Fia Haugh.

Fern, a nerdy astronaut, is peacefully cleaning up space garbage when disaster strikes — a crew of wild, wayward pirates are accidentally teleported aboard their spaceship! With a mission to complete and the pirates causing pandemonium, Fern and the motley crew must learn to work together, proving that even the most unlikely shipmates can find common ground.
Created with sustainability at its core, Space Pirates uses recycled and repurposed materials in its set and costumes and includes a free Education Pack for schools and families to keep the adventure going long after the final bow.
Count down and get ready for lift off! Because the wildest, funniest ride through the galaxy awaits!

Supported by Creative Australia through the Australian Cultural Fund. This project has been Fringe Funded and is proudly supported by Pride Foundation Australia.
