About the Show

A power ballad, a murder and a talking dog: what more could you want from a play?

We’re thrilled to invite you to “The Moors”, written by Jen Silverman, directed by Jessica Fallico, and the debut production of Waterloo Studios Theatre Company and Dancing Dog Productions.

Set against the desolate backdrop of the English countryside, two sisters and a dog live out their bleak lives, dreaming of love and power. The arrival of a hapless governess (and a moor-hen) set all three on a strange and dangerous path. This darkly comedic masterpiece, inspired by the gothic world of the Brontë sisters, brings to life on stage themes of ambition, desire, and survival.

“The Moors” is brought to life by an incredible cast and crew of Sydney Actors School alumni, showcasing their immense talent, hard work and passion for the craft. This play is more than entertainment – it’s a celebration of storytelling and the magic of live theatre.
