The Booth Variety Spectacular & Formal Apology Hour! is Taking Over the 2025 Melbourne International Comedy Festival!

Step into 1969. The cameras are rolling. The stakes are high. And late-night legend Tabitha Booth is about to go out with a bang – whether she likes it or not.

The final episode of The Booth Variety Spectacular & Formal Apology Hour was an Australian television disaster for the ages. Join unhinged and unmedicated silver-screen darling Tabitha Booth (Frankie McNair – Best New Comer 2022, Thank God You’re Here) as she fights to keep her crown as ‘Queen of Late-Night’ from her fresh-faced compare Isaac Haigh (Best New Comer 2023). Will Tabitha bow out gracefully, or will she self-sabotage her own farewell to cling to the spotlight forever?

An immersive alt-comedy spectacular packed with vintage variety-show charm, Hollywood glam, on-air breakdowns, surprise guests, and some of Melbourne’s top comedians!

Directed by Michelle Brasier – Recipients of the 2025 Moosehead Award
