WHEN ONE GAY ICON ISN’T ENOUGH
Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli? In the one show? Played by the same person!? Oh my Gay Heart!
Premiering in Midsumma 2025, Liza’s Good Judy is a cabaret show that brings these two iconic women back together for a tete-a-tete and a heart-to-heart. Featuring impressive mashups of their heartstopping survival anthems, all tied together with nostalgic anecdotes, ‘terrific’ catchphrases, questionable haircuts and perhaps a closeted husband… or five. So “forget your troubles, come, get happy” and gather your Friends of Dorothy for a night out that is all together comic, camp, moving and healing. After all, “life is a cabaret, old chum!”
A graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium, writer/performer Manda Rozen-Flannery (she/her) makes her solo-show debut with Liza’s Good Judy, who’s stage credits include West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity, Kiss Me, Kate and The Life. She teams up with Bram Harris (he/they), a VCA graduate, who brings his stage management background and love for Judy and Liza to his directorial debut.
