RoboWrite! The AI Playwright

The Motley Bauhaus - Theatrette @ 118 Elgin Street, Carlton

Pre-Game Theatre

Robowrite’s AI-generated “Dracula” at the Motley Bauhaus was a fascinating experiment. Intrigued by the concept, I ventured to Carlton to witness this unique adaptation.

Though unfamiliar with the original, I was captivated by the bizarre script and the actors’ energetic performance. The audience even contributed to the chaotic fun with sound effects. The AI’s unpredictable narrative, ending at part six before adding two bonus scenes, provided plenty of laughs. The actors’ shared amusement at the lack of exposition highlighted AI’s current limitations in capturing human nuance.

This 50-minute show was a memorable experience, leaving me curious to see Robowrite’s interpretations of other classics like “Wizard of Oz” or “Alice in Wonderland.”
